yes... much better. The house is looking fab!

The gap above the door....would another row of bricks not fit?. The door height seems to be the same as the window frames, but down one brick row.

Dan the problem was that the bricks and door frame do not line up.
The frame extends about 10mm into the next brick. I am not sure if you can see that in this pic but that's the issue....

The S/S said that there is always an issue with doors and brickwork lining up???? Believe it or not??? How hard can it be .....honestly????

Anyway, we'll see how it looks after the timber is put up and go from there....

Interesting. My next door neighbour had the same issue with window frames, but I just thought the builders stuffed up the measurements.

The centred door is looking much better than your previous one. The house, particularly the frontage, looks great. Mine would be quite plain, not much elevation etc.

Yes our sparkie has been in today and wired us up....
The eaves (what little we have) are nearly complete as well, just a little bit more in the porch area and our bedroom to be done.
We also had a visit from the brick-cleaning fairy so the house is looking quite spiffy!!!!!

Our lovely S/S "D"has called Kevin on our behalf (isn't he a sweetie!!!) and we have our pre-plaster inspection this Wednesday at 12.00pm...Kevin, our S/S and me!!!! :wink:

Should be an interesting couple of hours.

Our front door has the lock on it, but we are not quite at lock up until the garage is closed off from the house.

They sure are powering through, so you must be extremely pleased with the progress. Wouldn't be surprised if you'll overtake us as well, they've only just put up the plaster on Friday and we started in November

LOL, yeah we're getting excited now... our CSR said that depending on what team of tradies we get and also which S/S, we could have our house in 4 months. But they have been averaging between 4-5 months from when they start on-site (in our area anyway?). We are hoping for a hand-over date sometime in May???? But no-one is game to let us know an expected date yet!!!

I know, sorry dna!!! I've been told that it all slows down once their at lock-up though???? But we'll wait and see what happens.... Everything has been timed to perfection it seems with us, but we are not holding our breath.... (just crossing our fingers and waiting).....

Last week i bought, more decorator items, some canvases for the walls, a lamp and linen for the new house.....

My hubby has given up on me....LOL...but i've been "told", that i'm not allowed to buy any more BIG things....no more room to store any of it!!! LOL :lol:

(but i am having soooo much fun....hehehehe)

Just spoke with Kevin from NHI...he didn't have us down for tomorrow for our inspection!!!! Seems there was a bit of a communication mix-up between him and our S/S. BUT he is re-arranging his day to fit us in.

He's already looking after me.....what a sweetie (technical term of course!!!!)
Can't wait to finally meet him tomorrow.... Should be an interesting day!!!
