At least they're being honest with you Phoenix. They could've just decided to leave it be and feed you some silly story, but they've admitted that it's a problem and that they're trying to find ways to fix it. Small consolation I'm sure but it's something. I bet that concreter is in a bit of trouble though.

I get to meet my site supervisor for the first time on Friday morning as he wants to let me walk through the house and approve the electricals before they are plastered in. I went through tonight by myself (I think there is something wrong with the back sliding door as it is never shut properly, so they haven't locked me out yet lol) and it looks alright but I'm looking forward to discussing some other issues with the him.

Oh, and as a PS, when you get your lock up invoice, have a glass of wine handy (assuming you drink it). It's a big, gulp, moment :lol:

It will be interesting to see how they go about fixing the “add on” in concrete.
I actually thought what the concreted did looked ok, it’s a neat tidy job.

I would have been happy with that.

Mish, well for one thing, they needed to pin the new piece of concrete to the main slab....(which the concreter didn't do) - so eventually it would have cracked and who knows what cracks that would cause in the brickwork afterwards??? I'm not sure how they will pin it together, whether it will be by rods or what that will need to be the support of the join.

Colleen, i know that they have admitted fault...they were very honest about it all and we definitely appreciate that.... we have advised them that we are okay as long as they fix it correctly.... It's a small thing that can be rectified in my opinion.... Nothing to lose sleep over....just to keep an eye on. :wink:

I thought that…that’s why they are having an engineer look at.
Being such a small piece of concrete, it could crack?

But you right, nothing to lose sleep over. As building goes, this is a small issue.

But seems to be common.

glad to hear Henley were up front about the cementing and its been resolved quickly.
Here is a link to our 'blog' - our house is at a similar stage to yours tho' we don't have any bricks yet (I can't wait for this to start).
As you will see in the blog we had our guttering started today and it looks as though they should be finished tomorrow.

Finally it seems the garage trusses are on... On my morning drive-by i saw "S" and his boys there on the garage working like mad.
The site has also been cleaned, thanks guys (the bin is full!!!)

We have been updated by our CSR today. It seems that the gutters & fascias are starting this Monday 11th Feb and the roof is scheduled to commence on the following Monday 18th Feb.

H3nley have conducted the frame inspection in the last day or so and we are waiting for the results from our CSR.

If there is anything wrong, it will need to be rectified prior to continuing the build.

Can't wait to see more movement..... can you tell we're dying to have our house???

Did two drive by's today and on the second one this afternoon, the gutters/fascias have been installed to the sides and rear of the house.... the garage and front facade have not been done as yet....

And i DID take my camera, but forgot the memory card!!!! :evil:

So i will drive past tomorrow sometime and take more pics.
The roof is scheduled for next week.

OK, as promised i drove past after school pick up and took some pics of the house. (With camera and memory card this time!!!)

The guttering and fascias are done, and the safety barriers are up for the roof tilers.

The plumbers were there doing their thing... it's all coming along just nicely...

No roof tiles delivered yet, but they are supposed to start them next Monday.

Thanks VJ and Mish, the roof is black but the downpipes will be jasper to blend in with the brickwork. Here are our colours again, but we went with black windows instead of the paperbark as pictured.
