Such a simple thing.. why didn't I think of that.. Going back now to haggle about including the alfresco area in the pouring of the slab. No rush yet, I don't think my slab will hapen till mid Feb... I was heading down the path of sandstone for a finish look. Re: READY.....SET..... GO!!!!!!!!!!! 226Jan 16, 2008 11:48 am ![]() Great Idea Phoenix! Such a simple thing.. why didn't I think of that.. Going back now to haggle about including the alfresco area in the pouring of the slab. No rush yet, I don't think my slab will hapen till mid Feb... I was heading down the path of sandstone for a finish look. Hey it can't hurt to ask... and ours is also the same finish as the slab, it looks really nice... Also determine what stepdown if any you want for your alfresco...not sure if it is 172mm mandatory or not...ours is and now we will have to raise it as i want the same floor height continuing from the inside of the house...if i can.... So still not sure of what we will do there..... With the front porch we are okay with the 86mm stepdown... Re: READY.....SET..... GO!!!!!!!!!!! 228Jan 16, 2008 12:49 pm There probably is something by law...that's why we will have to build up the decking that we are using in that area...
But then again i have seen some homes that carry the same levels from inside to outside???? Some people have the same tiles through to their outdoor area. We'll see what it looks like when it's bricked and finished.... ![]() ![]() Re: READY.....SET..... GO!!!!!!!!!!! 229Jan 16, 2008 12:54 pm ![]() ![]() Congrats on the slab Phoenix.
