Thanks Bel, yes i have been waiting for this part for a very long time!!!

Actually thinking about it, i havent regretted any of the purchases i made in the previous 12 months for the decor in the new house...

It has all gone to plan with the sort of look that i am after....

I always wanted my home to have that "display home" look about it....(silly some people might think with 2 kids, but i think its still achievable). I also wanted the decor to be able to switched between rooms if i get a bit bored....saves me buying more!!! But thats always fun too... :wink:

Still looking for some large artwork for the walls, but i;m still thinking i might do some myself...

Its still a work in progress...but yes, i sure am loving this part, very, very much!!! :wink:

You have been abusy little bee. It's looking great. I love the chandeleir in the bedroom. I've had my eye on those.

I'm glad to see that you are still trying to give your hubby the hint about those bags in the walk in. Is it working yet??

The agave's out thr front look great. You place is really coming together now.

It is looking simply beautiful. You have exceptional taste P.

Your bedroom looks exquisite, I really like the way you have contrasted colours in the bedroom. It gives it a soft by stylish look.

And the boxes ... really gorgeous. I cant think of what else you could add to that arrangement ... it has a traveller style so maybe a trunk would look great. But to be honest I'd be concerned that whatever you add would overwhelm the boxes which look great on their own.

I hope you don't mind but I might copy your Agave idea ... they look excellent.

There is a shop in Adelaide which has a lot of shabby chic white stuff, but also beautiful cushions (leather pile, wool, linens etc), silver urns and glassware. I love that shop and it reminds me of your house.

I think I mentioned it in a previous post .... Tanjent Traders. Sigh ... oh roll on Xmas.

Dy, re the boxes, they are supposed to be on top of my WIR, so they wont be staying there permanently......i will keep looking, but they will do for now....hey does that shop you mentioned have a website?

No they don't have a website unfortunately but they should ... its absolutely beautiful and my favourite homewares shop atm.

Its a converted warehouse filled with great stuff suitable for bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice chandeliers, jewelry, bedside tables, candles, silk p.j's, glass door knobs, screens etc. Lots of unusual items you don't see repeated everywhere. I saw some old cane outdoor chairs and table there today and really wanted to buy them but DH was reluctant to spend

In fact we bought DD's bedside table from there on sale a few months ago.

They and in fact the whole house is Taubmans Moon River, which is the closest equivalent to the Dulux Hogs Bristle that the builder had. We had Hogs Bristle as a feature wall colour in our old house with Antique USA as the main colour. But this house we wanted more warmth so went with the colour throughout. Oh and Taubmans Ashwood for the internal doors, skirts and arch's.

And I agree with bec your bedroom looks wonderfully glamorous. You've done a wonderful job and I can't wait to see more photos as you complete each part of the house.

Wow - looking great

I was at freedom today and saw a stunning black and sliver collage of plaques (no idea if this is the right terminology) I think there was 9 small squares making up a larger pattern. It would look fantastic with you bedroom colour scheme.

I am so worried how our place is going to look when we move in that we are going to have a lot of bare space.

Having lived in rentals for so long I haven't really accumulated much in the way of furniture. Theoretically we probably will only need half the house to live in with what we currently have..LOL

Thanks Gav, bought the large agave off ebay actually...if you want the contact info, i can PM it to you. They were from a lady in Lysterfield who actually has the mother plant....(i was amazed as i've never seen one before...they're basically a money tree as these plants are so expensive)
We basically walked around her garden and chose which ones we wanted (the smaller ones) and she dug them up for us....

We've got to get back to see her for some more soon. :wink:

So have you asked *** to stretch your carpets more?

We are still undecided with the carpet supplier.
They are definitely the cheapest among all the suppliers we asked.

When we asked the other suppliers, they said they still do the knee kicking, but we could request for power stretching (not to all areas though).

Really love your master bedroom.. everything in it esp. the lights! :wink:
