Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 26, 2010 11:25 pm Hi, has anyone chosen thicker skirting boards and architrave's as an upgrade? I am interested to see what they look like before we commit. Our theory is that if we have thicker skirting boards then when we have our floors laid after hand-over they won't look small as we will need to have that ugly wood edge added. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. Re: Thicker skirting boards and architraves?? 2Sep 27, 2010 6:16 am Would suggest you get skirt cut in place but not nailed off, you then lay floor .
