Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 20, 2010 10:40 pm First time on thisw site!
Well it has taken us a long time to get to this point. We intially signed with ****** but once we got tender and got the shock of our lives with over $40,000 in site costs (we had over 700m3 of soil to be removed) we decided to look for a smaller builder. Thank god we did as we are are getting a much better house for less money and we designed ourselves! So far everything is going great we are up to frame stage and hopefully the roof will go on this week. We have chosen austral nougat bricks and colorbond dune roof, facsia and gutters. White windows and white garage door. Some feature stackstone near front door and stained wood above the garage and lounge. Just not sure what to do with the front door to paint gloss white or stain?? It will be a solid door. Will add pics soon. Our interior colors will be Tan aura to walls, whisper white to ceiling, doors, woodwork, trim. Kitchen, white shimmer bench top, espresso ligna base doors and gloss white o/head cupboards. Has anyone else used white shimmer caeserstone??
