Internal doors are the same, Taubmans Altair with a glossy finish though. I didnt want to have a contrast color for the internal doors. I am changing my entrace door to MAdison Series - Corinthian and will have it painted to match the timber framed sidelights. They dont stain these series doors Have you got pics of your selections? Hi Rajan, i am building with Carlisle and same as you, I also selected an entrance door from the Elegance range first but since Carlisle doesn't do Elegance I have had to select one from the Madison but I dont like the paint colours and like to have a timber colour so it does match our timber look garage door. Have you been able to find colour that match with timber colour please? I am clueless as to what to do since we are sigining the contracts next Monday and today only they told me that they are not doing Elegance after going through the whole process of selecting handles and glazings... Romani Re: Building Terracedale 25 with Clarendon Homes 24Feb 01, 2011 5:44 pm Hi Romani strange the builder doesnt want to do the Elegance range. Did they tell you the reason why? My builder initially quoted ridiculous $$ for the elegance door, but then when I got the tender, it showed the Elegance door which I wanted at much cheaper price..nothing to complain there So, now I am back to Elegance series. *happy* Assuming your builder selects colors from Colorbond range for the door, Manor Red is the closest I had come to matching with the timber look garage door. If its dulux/taubmans, there are heaps of options. Have you tried Studio M , Envisage yet?? http://www.studiom.com.au/envisage you can try different colors and see which one you like. Sorry, havent been of much help Best of luck with the contracts. Thank you very much Rajan and appreciate your support very much..finaly we selected Windsor WIN10G with Jarrah stain and the Studio M you mentioned was very helpful in selecting this.. all ready for signing the contract on Monday and how long did it take for you to get the finance approved (unconditional approval) for the construction loan? I am with CBA.. Romani Re: Building Terracedale 25 with Clarendon Homes 26Feb 04, 2011 4:21 pm Windsor 10G..nice door..I like You going just for the construction loan or you are after land loan as well? I applied for my loan somewhere in December, initially applied for 95% but CBA said they can give only 90% cos I dont haev a/c with them. So finally got the 90%.. All this to and fro process took about 3 weeks + 5 days for valuation. But people say it can happen as quick as within 10 days, depends on your broker and your situation. In my case, I had money all over in different accounts and Mr Broker says thats what was delaying the process. Anyway, fingers crossed.. apply and I am sure you will get thro soon Cheers Re: Building Terracedale 25 with Clarendon Homes 27Feb 04, 2011 11:35 pm rajan_g4 Windsor 10G..nice door..I like You going just for the construction loan or you are after land loan as well? We sold our first house which we had built thru macquarie homes. With the extra we had over from that paid for our land loan which we had while we had our mortgage. So all we need now is a construction loan thankfully. We had a pretty vague woman from the bank with the land loan and didnt ask us what type of loan we wanted and gave us a $5 a month one with higher interest rate. We had a mobile lender come out and offered us a lower interest rate and no monthly fee. So we are happy with this lender. We are with ANZ which has been pretty good so far. We are going with the Monument roof and gutter but with a sandy colour fascia so we have a band around the house. Cant remember what the name of it was. We are having Pressed red brick with the pressed cream pattern on the corners. Have you started building yet? We have gone for Bristol Colonial for render ( wanted Taubmans Manhattan, but builder wouldnt provide it ). Planning to render the whole front bit, if I can manage to spare some extra $$$ for that. Hopefully a tattslotto win this weekend My land settles mid next month, so hoping the build starts somewhere in May. Cant wait for things to start kicking.Been a long wait, we bought the land in June 2010. whereabouts are you guys building? started the build yet?? Good luck with your build Re: Building Terracedale 25 with Clarendon Homes 31Mar 16, 2011 1:07 pm Hello! We are building with Clarendon too in Sydney! Rajan - curious question - did you consider sliding doors for your patry so they don't open up onto a walkway. The house plan looks great... like someone else said - I love looking at plans and seeing the small customised changes the homebuilder makes! We have made a lot of changes to ours too... we are building the Kenthurst and have done many modifications. We are waiting for our initial tender and I am holding my breath! How much did all of your house prices jump from the base price and what was it that caused it to jump? Re: Building Terracedale 25 with Clarendon Homes 32Mar 16, 2011 1:23 pm hi Carolleigh, good to see a fellow Clarendon'ite. I did consider the sliding pantry door, but i blew up most of my budget on the land, so had a tight budget to play with for my house. I was a bit worried about the opening doors when I signed up for the house, especially because this is a new house design and the display wasnt even ready when we signed. My CSC tells me I am the 1st one to sign up for this design..yaayy !! anywho, the display house is done now and I checked the pantry. It seems ok and dont think it will bother me much ( dont think I will have to open the pantry doors every 2 mins ). Maybe I can look into sliding doors later if it becomes a pain. I did make a fair few modifications, am pretty happy with it. I am paying around $30 - 35K on top of base price ( including site cost hopefully ). I didnt have to go for too many upgrades, most of the things were standard, although the major $$ was satisfying the estate requirements. Good luck with your tender and with your build. Waiting to see your selections Re: Building Terracedale 25 with Clarendon Homes 33Mar 19, 2011 7:58 pm Hey raj, We have organised the bank to do the contracts on their end and they have gone and valued the land. We brought the land in April last year thats when we settled on it. Its taken this long to get the plans to what we want. We are hoping for a April start on the house the builder is waiting on the stamped plans which is the only thing holding him up. Insurance is done and everything else except the bank on our end but we need the stamped plans so hopefully that will happen next week. Looking forward to it beginning. The fascia is going to be sandbank and we are thinking of a sandbank front door as we are having a double front door and to top it off those long door handles instead of the levers. To make it a grand entrance. We are going to have the night sky windows this time around. We are trying to decide on cabinetry colours as we want a stone look bench top in the laminate but also want the light floor tile so will have to have something dark for contrast. We were thinking maybe the back of the island bench in a dark and have the cabinets in a cream colour then the splashback in a dark colour to match the island bench. Not that excited about dark cabinets although they do look good. Which hasnt been seasonal lately with all the flooding and rain around the past few months. Our first house was on roughly 976 m2 so gonig from that to 6 acres will be fun. Just not sure if i will landscape much of it. Might do the front of the house but that might be it. Probably get a cow and sheep maybe some chickens to keep the boys occupied.
