We had a few hurdles to what started as a smooth build. So, been busy chasing up all the issues. Plumber had personal issues. Didnt get plumbing done. --> Insulation and Plasterers waiting on plumber to finish his work. --> House got broken in. Someone stole our Speaker wiring 2 days later, house got broken in again. Someone cut all the electrical wiring in the house as well as the data wiring. --> Finally plumber does his work. --> But now the plasterers cannot do their work because the house has to be re wired again --> More delay Finally, we have our house wired and plastered. Seems its back on track... with a 4 - 6 week delay. This week, we had the remaining of the plasterboard work done including the articoves, the cornices & the skirtings. All the cabinets have been fitted as well and they have prepared the house for the first coat of paint. So hopefully first coat should be done by end of this week. We are slowly getting things sorted. Finally got the blinds and curtains done in the house which has helped a heap although not the pocket lol. Cant believe the price of curtains compared to blinds. I do think they block more sun though. I kinda gave up posting on this forum since Nov. Things were going everywhere especially during the final stages of the build. We were hoping to get the house by Dec, but finally got it end of Jan. And there still are few things that need to be fixed, slowly working on it with Clarendon. We got all our window furnishings sorted out first thing we got in the house. yes indeed, leaves a big hole, but just something that has to be done . We went for Plantation shutters in Master bed and Main Bath, everywhere else is either sunscreen or blockout blinds. Got pretty good deal. Will be posting some pics soon. Would love to see some pics of your shiny new house . Cheers 1. Roof cleaning and paint - which colour do you recommend? I often see black/ dark grey in use these days but I would prefer… 0 8310 Sorry! I'm new to this forum and have made a mistake in my posting! I'm looking for a structural solution to a stand alone wooden pickets fence with no structural rail… 1 3259 the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6685 |
