Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 14, 2010 10:14 pm What is everyone paying for their built-ins or walk-ins? I nearly had a heart attach when I got one quote back. For a 1.8 x 0.6m built-in (2 pac doors, 4 drawers, 5 shelves and 3 half hanging rods) the cost was just under 3K. There are no fancy bits like soft close drawers, back or bottom lining etc. Is that reasonable? Which companies do you recommend - I'm in Sydney. Can I ask who put in the doors for you for the built-ins? What material are these doors made of? Re: Cost of wardrobes? 6Sep 15, 2010 10:12 pm SYD-YYZ, the doors were just the standard doors supplied by the builder. I imagine they're just a painted ply or thin MDF - very lightweight material whatever it is Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Cost of wardrobes? 10Sep 16, 2010 4:11 pm It looks pretty basic and not worth the money the wardrobe companies are asking.
