Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 14, 2010 10:28 am Hi, I've been having a look at this site for a little while now and thought it would be a good way to keep track of our building process as well as get some advice along the way. It seems that so many people here have loads of information they are willing to share! We are looking to build the Urbis by JG King in Central Vic. The plan is here Our block is 19.5 metres wide by about 45 metres long. We are thinking of this facade But without the rendering. I really like the look of country/victorian style homes. Hoping to have a bay window on the right hand side for the master bedroom and creating a seat/storage space there. Unsure how curtains/blinds will work there though! I love nearly everything about this house but am a little dismayed by the kitchen size (even though the pantry is nice and big!) I am looking for a french provincial design for the kitchen but without taking up all the space! Most of the designs I've seen are too big for this kitchen! That's about it for now. If anyone could help me with the above that would be great! Any advice regarding JG King would be good too. We are yet to negotiate extras etc but are tossing up a few things like: french doors (living area), floorboards, stained glass front door, alfresco and the upgraded kitchen. We have already read most of that thread. It was a fantastic help! We could see lots of things we did/didn't want to add in our own colours and designs. 1 7935 I would never build with Fowler homes.
