Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Commodore Homes, Infiniti 6.0 - Ellenbrook 82Nov 21, 2010 11:31 pm Wow so much gap around your slab. Surely that can't be right. How do you put floor cover over a gap? We're doing wooden floors after handover so there better be no gaps. Hmmm I wouldn't be paying anymore money until these issues are addressed Re: Commodore Homes, Infiniti 6.0 - Ellenbrook 83Nov 22, 2010 10:18 am Apparently they fill the gap with cement, but it still doesnt seem right...looks like someone has stuffed up. Have sent email so waiting to hear back ![]() Do you know how do you change the subject/topic title for my thread?? Re: Commodore Homes, Infiniti 6.0 - Ellenbrook 84Nov 22, 2010 12:35 pm Happy for you that it's going faster but your FIL is perfectly right - it looks like your brickies and the slab people were drunk on the job. Bricks just look stupid but I would really be concerned about the slab as I said before - it's a foundation of your house. Have a meeting with SS but I would still get an opinion from Builders Association. You don't have to dob them in - just send them a pics without builders name and ask if it's within industry standard and if the house won't affected by this ******* slab. Re: C0mm0d0re Homes, Infiniti - SLAB & BRICK ISSUES 88Nov 22, 2010 3:54 pm Can't wait to hear their explanation. I showed your pics to few of my friends who were building in the last few years and they all agree that the footing and the slab is unacceptable. I told you to get second opinion from Builders Association without mentioning the builders name . That is free. I'm in the same situation with my plaster - I want those keys but it's wrong - so I'm not going to pay for this later to be right. And mine is a minor problem which CAN be fixed later. You have a problem with the whole structure of the house. I don't believe you should give them a slack on this. I know you want to see a progress and get the house finished but do you really want the house which doesn't feel safe to live in? ![]() contract 10/11 prestart 04/10 slab 06/10 bricks 07/10 roof 09/10 plaster 10/10 Ceiling 10/10 LOCKUP 10/10 tiling wet areas 11/10 garage floor 11/10 PCI 12.01.11 handover 11.02.11 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=39361&hilit=malvern+springs We are in !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Caesarstone, quantum zero, Q Stone zero, porcelain.
