Please remember to stick with facts only. Posts that are liable or slander will only end up with you getting in trouble and nobody wants that! Happy posting.. Re: Adenbrook Homes 4Nov 13, 2007 3:46 pm I remember you PM'd me a few months ago and you had already moved in.
I take it the problems you had have not been fixed in a timely manner? has anything else happened that you are unhappy with? Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. Re: Adenbrook Homes 6Nov 30, 2007 2:13 pm Considering I'm just about to sign a contract with them, it would be GREAT if I could get some idea as to what went wrong so maybe I can avoid them.
Where did you build? What went wrong? Thanks so much Plunger! Re: Adenbrook Homes 7Dec 04, 2007 8:33 am We moved in 7th November, had a few faults and problems that needed fixing, so we signed the inspection notice whereby Adenbrook agree to rectify the listed problems within 14 days.
Here we are 27 days later....still trying to get things sorted. We've taken many days off work, waiting around for tradesmen, who simply dont show up or cancel at the list minute. Painters turn up.....without paint!! Completely over it Based on my experience with Adenbrook to date....would I build with them again......NO. Re: Adenbrook Homes 8Dec 16, 2007 11:27 pm We have been in the house for 9 months and we are still waiting for them to come and fix things that are written in the contract before they started to build.
The latest one, THEY had the house inspected, then refused to rectify all the things THEIR inspector said were wrong....??? Figure that one out. We only wanted them to fix a couple of small annoying problems... now they have a list as long as your arm again... When we have the house fixed I'll post up a list of the problems we have had, its quite extensive.... We wouldnt advise anyone to build with them. Re: Adenbrook Homes 9Dec 17, 2007 12:13 pm Day 40 since handover......still waiting for agreed items to be rectified. Excellent customer service there Re: Adenbrook Homes 10Dec 17, 2007 3:00 pm I think it's pretty obvious the difference between building with Brisbane Adenbrook or Gold Coast.
I mentioned a few things that I had queries about (silicone missing from an external wall, saggy ceiling) to my customer service rep last week and she is getting someone out to fix it (hopefully) today. I think it's sad that you got stuck with a house that has lots of problems when Adenbrook has such a great reputation for being a high quality builder. I do hope they fix it soon and I look forward to seeing your list of problems. Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. Re: Adenbrook Homes 11Feb 01, 2008 2:04 pm 87 DAYS SINCE HANDOVER!!!!!!......still waiting for them to rectify items they agreed to in writing at handover. One of the items, damaged aluminium foot treads at the bottom of the external door frames. The latest update is "nothing we can do except patch it and put some paint over it." That's it...no sorry...can we compensate...NOTHING!!!
Since we moved in, numerous people have stopped while driving by to ask us about Adenbrook (the display home is just up the road, so they recognise the design). We are quite happy to describe the Adenbrook experience Re: Adenbrook Homes 12Feb 01, 2008 6:19 pm My construction starts next friday but I've learnt my lesson from my contract stages... I will be making sure that things are perfect before I sign 1cent over to them.
The few small problems that we had during the contract stages seemed soooo difficult to fix that I really would expect that when we take the handover then we had better be happy with the house or it will never get fixed. I have had a bad experience so far but as of next Friday I have control again Re: Adenbrook Homes 13Feb 01, 2008 6:26 pm northlakes 87 DAYS SINCE HANDOVER!!!!!!......still waiting for them to rectify items they agreed to in writing at handover. We are quite happy to describe the Adenbrook experience Why don't you fill out the complaint form on BSA website and lodge it? I know that my neighbour had to do it to get some stuff fixed. Another neighbour build with project builder and he was waiting for electrician 5 weeks. Unfortunately for the owner he locked himself outside and had to rush to wife office to get the key. The sparky didn't want to wait 5 minutes at the door, now another 5 weeks of waiting. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74687 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
