Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 09, 2010 1:52 pm Hi, Just looking for some inspiration.... We are soon to begin building with nbg. Our block is by the beach so we are going for a coastal look. We are looking at using Boral bricks from the Nuvo range and are tossing up between colours Chino, Mist, Moss and Soft Suede. Bricks will be used ground floor with timber cladding to the second story. Just wondering if anyone out there has used any of these bricks? Opinions & pics most appreciated Re: Anyone used Boral Nuvo bricks Chino, Mist, Moss, Soft Su 2Sep 09, 2010 6:26 pm We have used Mist. Check our thread. NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! I'm having mist too, but, I still don't have a slab yet so no photo's. I've seen a house near me that has them and they look great. You can get some addresses from Boral of houses in those bricks and do a drive by. I am losing sleep over the bricks Grey tones have always been a fave for me whether it is a period home or contemporary...so just love Mist. Adore ♥ your exterior colours boiselfish, they look so fantastic. I guess my only concern with using mist on our place is that we are bordering a farm property with mature pine trees along one side (they are huge!) and that this will cast quite a lot of shade. So I don't want the house to look gloomy with the grey iykwim so really want to check out the sandy colours also in the Nuvo range. I might need to let go of my grey dream sigh... We're going to boral this weekend so hopefully we can get a list of homes in the colours we insterested in and do drivebys in true stalker style. Went to Boral on Sunday and checked out the bricks. Hoping we would walk out of there with some clarity but nooooo Now I like Nuvo Moss and Cinnamon Escura as well. Hubby likes something totally different from the Woodstock range which are rustic style - hmmmm I don't think so Perhaps we will do a mash up of different bricks if we can't agree.
