Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 08, 2010 8:54 am Hi, We have a great block that slopes down from the road (to the south) and backs onto a large park. I know building on a sloping block is a more expensive option, but we feel that the location makes it worthwhile. I've sketched up some plans that I'm really happy with (but we're quite flexible if a reasonable standard plan is available). It's a tri-level design, so presents as a single storey from the street but has two floors out the back (so there are two half-flight sets of stairs to get between the levels). I've found some standard plans that are pretty close to what I have in mind, but they're either NSW builders or really expensive. The NSW plans are in the mid $200k range, the local ones I've found are closer to twice that. Can anyone recommend a local builder who either has standard tri-level plans or is flexible without being expensive? Thanks, Julian. Hi, can anyone recommend a custom home builder who can build in north east area? Looking to build a custom 4-br energy-efficient home with a max budget of 750k. If they… 0 22804 May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner? I'm actually meeting with one of the sales guys tomorrow for an appointment. Definitely not signing anything yet… 3 13234 Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Looking for recommendations. Thanks 0 21091 |
