Im lot 299 Regards sij Re: Hammond Park, WA - Australia - Share Experiences 2Sep 02, 2010 6:26 pm Hey Sij, Im building accross the freeway in aubin grove.. we looked at hammond park first off but when we were looking it was only lots under the powerlines, which we didnt want. A few friends have built there, they have had good and bad experiences, really depends on the builder and what you are after....and if the trades are busy or not. The advice I can give is, make sure you have a fair idea of what layout, colours you like before you speak to builders, it can be suprising how the prices change per company and sub company for basically the same plan. Hammond park in a nut shell is abit calmer than success, but is still right their in the action. What were prices like then? Right now I paid 340,000 for a 672m2 block. Do builder's do the wall paints? Or recommend self paint? get them to do the rendering but self paint coats? Regards Sij Re: Hammond Park, WA - Australia - Share Experiences 4Sep 03, 2010 11:29 am Not to sure to be honest, it was 12 months ago and prices have changed alot. 9/10 out of ten builders dont include painting in the house price, it would be an added extra which you can go through during prestart. Im painting my own walls because it was ~$4000 to have the builder to it. Best idea would to be find a house plan that you like and meet with a builder and talk to them about it because it really depends on the specs of the house. some include it, some dont. Hope that helps some what.
