Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 27, 2010 3:32 pm Hi, I am currently at near completion - construction stage with my builder and I have received yet another variation from them for the following, has anyone else been charged for this from their builder? Council lodgement+fees Contour survey Sydney Water SS Certifications Survey Reports Engineering Reports and certificates Bit odd and sinister right? mind you, these all add up to a few grand, which to me is ridiculous! Any input appreciated. Thanks, XQUISIT Re: Site Cost and Pre Development reports and assessments 3Aug 28, 2010 9:25 pm I haven't recieved any nasty surprises, and we have just completed PCI. There are past customers of this builder who I have approached and asked if they were issued with the same variation and 100% of the customers have advised they did not receive such variations. I think its time to name and shame!, I posted a previous post of my honest opinion of the builder and they demanded I remove the post! After my build is completed I will post a blog of my building experience with this builder so other consumers and honest people like us are not sucked into building companies like this. It is unfair practise leaving people like us in a difficult situation, If the builder resolves the disputes then I may consider not documenting my build, will have to wait and see how it all pans out. Any further input will be appreciated.
