Thanks Cooped, yes I have cleaned, cleaned and cleaned more, I too have taken all photo's etc away. It looks amazingly clean now,it's funny when you de-clutter like this it still looks good without all the extra junk we acquire.
Our first open in Thursday 24th, so fingers crossed we get a few people interested, it's nail biting time and I cant wait to get it over with . Dont know how I am going to go on Auction night. Photographers coming on Monday to take pics so will do some more cleaning etc, before then.

Selling is very stressful and exhausting I know, but worth all the effort as a clean home will get you a better price in the end. Hang in there it'll be over and done with before you know it
Re: Our Retreat - Kitchens & cabinetry in63

After not much happening last week, we have had some action this week, all the cabinets are in, basins in bathroom, sinks in laundry & kitchen. Cabinets are burnished wood by laminex, laundry bench is white and kitchen bench and bathrooms benches are Natural Quartz, it was bit of a shock to see them, I saw a little of the burnished wood kicker when they were delivered and thought I didnt like it, but now that I see them all in, I'm a bit relieved. Thought the handles were longer too, mind you did our colour appt back in March.
Bricks supposed to be cleaned tomorrow due to SP Ausnet cutting power to the area for most of the day.
Still waiting on carpenters to come back and install all the skirtings, window frames, doors, etc. - hopefully finished by Friday.
Ensuite (complete with footprints across the doors )
Kitchen (Soft closers are installed but one of the drawers doesnt seem to fit)

Swung past the house tonight, the bricks have been cleaned. Tradesman was there doing all the waterproofing of wet areas. The carpenters were there earlier before the power was turned off, have hung a few doors, window frames, skirting and wardrobe doors - apparently back tomorrow to finish off. Then it's bring on the tilers.

Thanks Cooped they look similar to yours too. Finally had a chance to go thru your entire thread as well. Love all the colours you have chosen, particularly like your feature/border tile. I know what you mean if you had of been on H1 for months before you actually do your own colours I think I might have changed as well - I would have loved to do your border tile thing in my bathrooms as I didnt like any the builder had and just went with plain white I'm starting to dread seeing the tiling done but I plan to put in dark brown shutters and have already bought choc brown towels and soap dispensers etc. So like everyone says we have to wait until everything is in and then we can go coulda shoulda!!!!

Thanks Cous, yes we cant believe how quick they have been, we almost want them to slow down as we dont want the house till end of Jan - hopefully after we sell current house and get settlement on old house. It's always a juggle no matter what you do e.g selling, renting etc. and stressful.
Re: Our Retreat - Site Meeting Outcome72

Had our meeting this morning, re site cut, they basically started with all this level and code jargon, say is all fine and it's up to us to get drainage and retaining walls. So now we are getting an independant inspector to check it out for us. Disappointing as we were their greatest walking talking advertisement and have recommended them to family and friends, so will see what happens after our independant inspection. I also have a landscaper coming out to give us a quote for the retaining walls required.
This is the dead side of the house which will need a retaining wall the entire length and pits for water.
And the back - will will need to be retained as well.
Painters are moving in this week, they do painting before tiling!!! which we thought was weird but anyway will be good to get it painted as I can then get my carpet and flooring samples to make a decision on colours. (that is if we have any money left after the retaining wall)

Painters are in, doing all the prep work today, we asked how long it will take to paint and they replied about a week.
Downpipes put in yesterday and noticed the cutouts for the power points etc have been done.

Yes that's apparently what they do as well, get painters back to touch up.
Have the Build Inspector checking things out for us, just waiting on a call back from him, so fingers crossed it's in our favour, or else we'll have a big expense we didnt expect.
This landscaper is really busy so hopefully he will come out Friday.
