Sheree form this forum had that happen a while ago and there is a house going up across the road from me that has cabinets and no bricks. I'm wondering if there is a bit of a brickie shortage. Hi Joles, I have been waiting 3 weeks for the brickie to start and they haven't even deilvered the bricks yet. I was told they might start the plaster work before the bricks as the brickie has been held up another site but I am worried that the plaster will get wet and damaged if it rains. One of my window frames has already bubbled up from the recent rain we've had and the rap around the house has slightly fall down from the strong winds last week. So frustraighted with the whole building process. Building Fairhaven23 - Taylors Hill Re: Has anyone heard of a Reverse Build? 4Aug 24, 2010 12:41 pm If any plaster gets wet they will replace it. They'll also fix the wrap up when they do the bricks. It isn't an ideal situation, but there really isn't too much to worry about I don't think. Anything that gets damaged by water, they will fix. It is very frustrating this building business. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. They reasurred us that the house would be water tight before they put the plaster and other things up. I have told the my ss that this was not what I want as we have water damage to one of our window frames already from all the rain we have had recentley. Rather wait longer for the brickie than have more problems later. I still don't understand how they could even think about doing plaster before bricks??? if the plaster does get wet then they waste more time and money fixing things. Since there are people available to do the work now, and they might not be available later.
