Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 23, 2010 9:50 pm Hi, I'm just after some advise/comparisons to what other people have been charged for their footings above standard. I understand we have H-D site classification, but have been blown away by the 30k extra our builder is trying to charge us. It could be what it costs, but I am interested to know what other people have been charged for similar footings design. Our preliminary footings design has come back as follows: 800mm deep external, 750mm deep internal x 200mm width 100mm min thickness concrete slab, it's approximately 230sqm No fill was encountered with the soil tests. Any help is greatly appreciated! I will try to ask what is included in the standard footings and see what they come back with. Does anyone else have experience in receiving an excess footings charge with no visibility to whats included in it? Seems good to me.
