Please do tell me if this is something that i need to talk to my site supervisor? Is there a reason why they leave such gap or is it a bad job done by the brick layers? Re: Is it normal to have gap like this between the bricks??? 2Aug 21, 2010 7:43 am they are expansion joints. they are put there to stop the brick wall from cracking through movement of the earth etc. they will come along later and put some foam in and then silicone over it in a colour similar to your bricks. quite normal, don't worry google brick expansion joints.
