Our builder has not installed anti-ponding boards in our roof even though the contract said they were including them. The builder's response was that they didn't need the boards because the roof pitch was higher than 20degrees... ??? huh? Is this true? Our roof pitch is only 22degrees anyway, pretty standard I would have thought.
I found a great link amidst other topics for sarking and anti-ponding boards which doesn't stipulate where anti-ponding boards are actually needed...
http://building-our-first-house.blogspo ... nding.html
Whilst the URL does a really great job at explaining roofing jargon, it doesn't help clarify whether roof pitch is an issue...
Please can someone help me with this question...
Does roof pitch change the need for anti-ponding?
