Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 19, 2010 7:20 am Hi everyone (This is my first post here, so I hope it's in the right place)... I was wondering if anyone has build an L-shaped house and would be willing to share their floor plan (or could point me in the direction of finding some). I'm after some inspiration and am finding it hard to find plans! Thanks Re: L-shaped house plans 2Aug 19, 2010 9:52 am Welcome to H1 Renobliss. You are right there are very few L shaped home plans. We have one but unfortunately I prefer not to show our plan on the internet. Basically the shorter part of the L is our garages whilst the longer part is the house itself. I do have a thread with photos of the house if you are interest:- viewtopic.php?f=15&t=26913&start=80 Some things are worth waiting for. Re: L-shaped house plans 3Aug 19, 2010 9:58 am Removing anything with any information about our build. If I was to win Lotto, I would build with a different builder, now to win lotto Re: L-shaped house plans 4Aug 19, 2010 11:30 am Search some of the builders websites. Natinal Builders have some great plans. Offcours, try to understand that I am not encourageing you to use their plans without their permission, however, you could approach them if you like one of their designs and get it modified to your exact liking Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them. I appreciate you taking the time to describe everything RoadkillNZ! If you ever get the chance to post plans I'd love to see them. Thanks for the company suggestion xanthrope, I've had a look at some builder's sites, but not many have L-shaped houses. I'll have a search for that builder. Will have a look at those plans, thanks berny! Re: L-shaped house plans 7Aug 21, 2010 1:33 am Hello there, This is my first attempt at uploading an image, so fingers crossed!! Our new place excluding the alfresco area is essentially an L shaped house. We would have preferred to have the laundry and garage run more flush with the side of the house and not jutt out but block contour and shape dictated this. We designed this home last year and has proven to be quite popular but not 100% sure if this is what you're chasing. http://www.ruralbuilding.com.au/range_f ... linton.asp cheers Jay Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6896 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
