What bricks did you choose - Show and Tell

Wow it looks awesome can't wait to see it with turf

Hi,

Anybody here have used Grey Stone by PGH? Just want to see how it looks especially on the side and back side of the house.

We have used PGHs Eclipse. We were very lucky to get our brick of choice in the standard range before it was discontinued. They were just finished being cleaned yesterday to will need to get some more pics. We wanted a black brick and love them, although in some lights they throw off a brownish tinge.

Does anyone have any piccies of the pgh moondust bricks, single or double height? Having trouble determining whether they are a grey or tanny colour! All the pics I find seem to differ somewhat ? thank you!

Thankyou. 😃

Hi all, did anyone use Savannah? Finding it really hard to find a brick we love!
Does anyone know what this is?
It looks a bit like the Everyday Engage...

We are using moondust, in double height. There is a display in Ashmore. Its on cnr southport-nerang and ashmore road. Its opposite the 711.

Oh thanks Jane
we will need to check it out as it is one of the main things we are struggling to choose, that and the garage door! Haha

Has anyone used the Austral Industrial bricks? They come in 3 shades of grey - Char, Iron and Steel. I really like the Char but think it might be too much if used all over (esp. double storey).
The other ones I'm leaning towards are the Austral Access Ash but they are quite light.

We have the Austral Char and off white mortar! Brickies just started but here's a pic ( keep in mind they still need cleaning). We are extremely happy with our choice. We are building a double storey but at street view bricks are only downstairs with part render and part render upstairs!

I'm in love with dark bricks, yours look gorgeous! We chose the Austral Industrial range Char and we just love it, great contrast with off white mortar! Can't wait till ours are cleaned and we put some striking plants around the house with the bricks as a back drop

I'd love to see some pics of PHG Santorini Random.

Could those that have used it please post some pics?
Here is my house in Boral Mocha, with rolled natural (grey) mortar.

My house is the last on the right... two doors the other way is also Boral Mocha but with buff mortar, looks very different
I'm choosing PGH Moondust but contemplating a feature brick.
There's a new brick (to the local Austral display centre anyway as they haven't had it laid yet, guess brickies are hard to source for them too) in 'The Avenue' range called Maddox and Stratton.
Google says they are/were a Daniel Robertson brick so hopefully someone on here has used them? Nothing is coming up in searches for me. The sales person showed us some bricks not laid yet so without mortar but they look rather different to what's on the Austral website (perhaps she got them mixed up?).

oh wow, thanks heaps for that!
Nice thread
I am using Austral Zinc bricks with specialised white mortar on the whole house. Fell in love with the bricks!

What's everyone's experience with white mortar? Builder cannot guarantee the mortar will be white, which makes me nervous since it was costly!

What did this fireplace look like and restoration suggestion

General Discussion

No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online…
