Let's keep it alive! It's a great help to some of us who still haven't made our colour choices. I'm still stuck on deciding between Boral Kurrajong or Boral Ripponlea - to go with a Colorbond Loft roof Re: What bricks did you choose - Show and Tell 106Jan 25, 2010 11:55 pm Seville by Midland Brick, http://www.midlandbrick.com.au/docs/pro ... site=boral Re: What bricks did you choose - Show and Tell 107Jan 26, 2010 1:22 am Cream Mexi by Midland Brick (WA), With Bristile terracotta tiles in 'Aniseed' with a 'Vienna' profile. We went for the Natural look ,gutters and fascia in monument . We also finished the outside with eaves all a round . many people leave eaves out but it finishes well and also keeps the house cool in summer Re: What bricks did you choose - Show and Tell 110Jan 26, 2010 3:28 pm The day we signed our contracts with Henley they called to say we'd need to pick another brick. We had not long left Cosham... were about 30 mins down the road!!! We had originally picked Selkirk "Muscat Haze"... then we were told that we'd have to chose from the Boral range ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://i896.photobucket.com/albums/ac165/aaron4erin/DSC_0736upload.jpg Re: What bricks did you choose - Show and Tell 111Jan 26, 2010 4:11 pm This house will be rendered, but our last house was built out of these (limestone coloured) http://www.midlandbrick.com.au/docs/pro ... gleItem=4# Looked fantastic, but the stupid builder didn't know how to lay them properly and we ended up with massive cracks through the house, with parts of the walls around doors etc needing to be ripped down and redone around 12months after we moved in!! They ended up refusing to use them after our house. Re: What bricks did you choose - Show and Tell 113Jan 26, 2010 7:56 pm We're just heading towards selection and we're thinking of PGH Santorini Random on the front and Bianca for sides and back. Not sure about roof colour yet. My husband and I are pretty conventional in our tastes so it's good to see peoples ideas here. There are some adventurous builders out there and I have loved looking at this thread. Are the Parchment Off White mortar too? Perhaps it just does'nt stand out as much as they're light bricks, or the La Trobe were dry longer?
