Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 17, 2010 8:31 pm ours looks it! The swatch looks heaps different and we went and held it up to it and it was similar, but the paint just had a bit more pink/purple to it than the swatch. The ss said he'd look into it, but I don't really think there is much of a difference to warrant it being re-done. I don't mind it, but my hubby hates it. Is anyone elses like this? It really must be something with us and paint going purple. Our last house we had a feature wall in wattyl donkey. It came out really purple, but the builder was adamant it was right. When we had our 6 month check and they had to fix up and patch some of the wall, the new paint was totally different to what was on the wall and exactly like how we expected it in the first place! Re: Anyone's dune painted render really purple? 2Aug 18, 2010 6:58 pm Ours is painted dune and we have a colourbond shed in dune. We were so happy when the shed went up and loved the colour. Our house definately appears a little more 'grey' than the shed. We assume this is because the cement render was grey. Overall the whole appearance in not quite as beigey as we had planned but we are still happy. Ours definately doesnt have any purple throw to it. I have attached some pics to try and give you an indication. Other feature walls are painted the same as Colourbond Ironstone.
