Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 16, 2010 8:16 pm We have sold the house we built two years ago with Carlisle and are looking to put ourselves through the process again. We were pretty lucky last time flat block and good soil but land is scarce where we want to build this time and we have seen a block which is very elevated, the soil is m-class(have seen the soil test but I am concerned about the site costs and allowing for them will drive my offer on the land. Can any body giv me any clue as to what extra costs we would face and how to go about finding out how much they are likely to be before committing to a contract on the land?? Any help greatly appreciated. Re: Site Costs 2Aug 16, 2010 8:23 pm This thread may help you out. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=9017 My block is also elevated and had an M class slab. Our cost came to around 20k for just under 40sq single storey. We have around 2m fall across the house (3m across the block). Everyone told us to allow around 10k per metre of fall as a ballaprk figure by the time you include site works, piering and the drainage. Hope this helps. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I would always add another 5k to what they say. Site Start: 10th September, 2010 PCI : Friday 27th January, 2011. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13063 Is anyone building with Mojo and have a recent site cost tender 0 15934 Henley should give you some indication of site costs.
