We didn't do it last build, and cost a bomb (and huge headaches) trying to wire it in after. Think it costs about $400-$500 to wire it in now vs later. Is your build split-level given the fall of the site?? Love the brick and seeing your house reminds me how i think i have really made the right choice with the Monte Carlo! I cant wait to see all your internal bits and pieces!!! Is your build split-level given the fall of the site?? Cheers AV Hi AV Thanks I love our plan too. Its great for our block and we will get stacks of sun in our northern windows. Unfortunately we didn't put door on the home theatre so it's part of the big living space but that's something we'll do ourselves after changeover. The builder charges a fortune for the doors and by the time I got around to asking they wanted to slug me the $1000+ variation fee - my old CSO was not my fave person. No home theatre wiring at this stage either - we are doing all our electrical extras after handover. No split level - just a huge drop off from the building pad that keeps me awake at night. How's yours coming along? Any progress on your selections? I love your avatar too - LOVE Glee! I am hoping that we won't have to do too much retaining. Hopefully we can do a big deck that then has steps down into the back yard with screening so you can't see the pile on dirt underneath. Our current yard is retained into levels and I hate it. What are your landscaping plans? It would be worth asking your SS if you could pull some wires through the walls into the ceiling before plaster. it will be a bit of a task later on Look forward to the pics Re: Bon's Monte Carlo with McD Jones - We have BRICKS and RO 48Sep 24, 2010 5:04 pm Hey Bon!! No real issues other than timing and communication. The build is good and the tradies are great - it's just been our contacts at the builder that we haven't been 100% happy with. Hi bee - good luck with your colour selections!! It's actually a fun day - a little stressful but I found it enjoyable. It's nice to see it all come together once the build starts! You'll have to post and show us your selections when their finalised. Where and which house are you building? Well the builders were back on our site today - dishwasher and bath installed (no photos today). I'm hoping to hear about a handover date asap.
