Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 15, 2010 1:13 pm Hi all, just after some info on under eave vents. we are building a new house which is at practical completetion stage. (not long to go...yippy) the problem is that instead of using pre fab gyprock sheets with the vent holes in them under the eaves our happy go lucky builder has cut costs by using a hand saw to cut 6 slots in our eaves at spaced areas around the house eaves for ventalation, which look really **** to say the least. some of which aint even straight!! we are rather disappointed with this, and now have asked that they all be replaced with the pre fab sheets. not sure if they will do this, but we can not live with the other ones the way they are. any ideas?? Not Happy Re: Under Eave Vents 2Aug 21, 2010 4:54 am Hi, If they won't replace with prefab sheets, there are lots of different types of ventilation grilles available from bunnings (mostly cheap plastic rubbish). Tell your builder to sort it out! See link below for some better quality grilles that are available from bunnings, ask them to order if they not in stock. http://jpmark.com.au/index.php?module=Website&action=Text&content=1188351240144-0139&parentContent=1172548031867-4775 Cheers Old Home Restoration / Renovation Cheers mate! I agree with you, fixing the brackets to the board will look… 2 3275 retail its around double the price of a similar sized actron/dakin system from memory, They are excellent systems though. But with how builder gouge on AC/heating, you… 4 13773 Thanks for the insights, that makes perfect sense, and yeah, I will be leaning on the experience of the excavator operator entirely. 6 16136 |
