From what I can see now it is just the skirtings to be painted. The grout has been done in the wet areas but it is looking as if they may have used the wrong colour!! It is meant to be a grey but instead it looks more of an off white I am not sure if it gets darker as it dries?? We can only wait and see I suppose Am thinking there is not much more to do now just another coat of paint outside, finish painting inside and we should be done.....October is sounding very promising...YIPPEE. Ok time to check everyone elses progress Take care everyone and I hope all your tradies are on site working hard Cheers Ednurse Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 44Sep 28, 2010 10:07 pm WOW everything is looking good wouldn't you love to get inside and see everything up close and personal It does look great even through the windows, especially love the colours of the garage door with the bricks Very nice Contracts signed Dec 09 OK to Start Sep 17 Slab Oct 6 Frame Oct 25,26 Windows and Gutters Oct 28 Bricks Nov 2 -20 Roof Finished Nov 10 Insulation and Gyprock Finished Nov 30 Locked Out Dec 13 Cupboards Installed Dec 17 Tile prep work Dec 26 Painter started Dec 30 Stormwater Jan 17 Tiles Jan 10-19 PCI Feb 2 Handover Feb 9 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37120[size=85] Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 45Sep 28, 2010 10:16 pm Ta Lucene, I am really happy with the bricks because I think the plain cream would have made it all a bit too pale yet these ones have the flecks every so often to break it up and the cream roller door makes those colour differences more obvious. ooohhh yes I would soo love to get inside!! I feel like the sheep that is looking at the grass on the other side of the fence that is just out of reach!! My husband got a barage of 'why didnt you take a photo of this" s when he had the opportunity to get in lol Neva mind hopefully not too much longer and I can really go crazy with good photos Take care Ednurse Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 46Sep 29, 2010 10:32 am Wow, your house looks great. We managed to get inside over the weekend and as matter of interest we measured our space where our brand new fridge will be going...it aint gonna fit On our plans it states the width of the space for the fridge is 900mm. So with plans in hand I went shopping for a new fridge, first time ever we have been able to buy a brand new one (always owned secondhand). We got a great deal on a brand new stainless steel side by side 890mm wide, just the right size for a 900mm space..a little allowance either side. upon measuring the actual space that has been made it only measures 885mm and has a skirting board on one side reducing the gap even more!! for the builder to fix this problem will mean all my surrounding cupboards that butt up to the fridge gap will have to be adjusted..all because someone measured wrong!! have contacted the builder but awaiting a response to how this will be fixed and how long it may take.We are supposed to have keys at the end of this month!! And to top it all off..I have spoken to my boss and I am unable to get leave (have plenty up my sleeve but work is too busy for me to use it until after Xmas) from work inorder to try and actually move and help kids work out how to get to school... Feeling a bit despondant and feel a few more grey hairs growing!!! Sorry for the rant will let you know how it all works out Ednurse Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 48Oct 05, 2010 4:21 pm What a bummer Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ this is a really great place to have a rant I really hope that they can do something to fix THEIR problem Contracts signed Dec 09 OK to Start Sep 17 Slab Oct 6 Frame Oct 25,26 Windows and Gutters Oct 28 Bricks Nov 2 -20 Roof Finished Nov 10 Insulation and Gyprock Finished Nov 30 Locked Out Dec 13 Cupboards Installed Dec 17 Tile prep work Dec 26 Painter started Dec 30 Stormwater Jan 17 Tiles Jan 10-19 PCI Feb 2 Handover Feb 9 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37120[size=85] Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 49Oct 05, 2010 7:09 pm Oh how frustrating for you. I miss-measured with my lounge space so it over hangs a little bit, but that was my own fault so i can't blame anyone haha. at least you have the plans stating that the fridge area should be a certain size so sterling can't tell you you're wrong! you're house looks so lovely from the pics and its really coming along nicely!! you'll be in there in no time!! Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 53Oct 06, 2010 4:30 pm Hi everyone thankyou all for your thoughts and support OMG!! Hiya Teapot..welcome back hun have missed ya soooo. Hope you are enjoying your wonderful new home photos please!! My husband spoke to our building supervisor today and she said that the measurements of gaps are taken from stud wall to stud wall (before gyprock) and she stated that this is standard procedure and that they have not made an error so therefore it will not be fixed by them. Please have a look at this plan and tell me what you think. Am pretty sure this tells us we have should have an actual gap of 900mm available to use as space for our fridge not 900mm minus gyprock?!?! feel as tho I am going nuts!!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Uploaded with ImageShack.us Cheers Ednurse Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 54Oct 06, 2010 5:59 pm Sorry ednurse but I think it is correct that the measurements are between the stud walls and not from plaster to plaster. That's the way that you would expect it to be though (between plaster walls). Check another lot of walls against your plan to check. Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 55Oct 06, 2010 6:09 pm Thanks Catjim, I am going to do some further research at this point it seems as tho our other measurements are what they say on the plan..all except our fridge space. will let you know what i find in my research lol thanks for your help Cheers Ednurse Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 56Oct 19, 2010 9:40 am Hi everyone, just thought i would share my update.. On the fridge front, joinery company are in the process of altering kitchen to allow for space for me new fridge. It turns out they had measured wrong, and indeed the fridge recess was narrower than it should have been, and the pantry was infact too far over. Took a while but finally got a meeting with the builder on site and made him measure the space and it was him in the end who got on to the joiner and blasted them!! We are now just waiting on this to be finished, kitchen appliances and flyscreens to windows and then we should be at handover!!! Yippee finally will post more pics as soon as i am able Cheers Ednurse Re: Ednurse wants home finished STAT..Wanna move STAT.. 57Oct 19, 2010 10:40 am Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ That is great news!!!!
