Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 10, 2010 11:17 pm My builder wants to vent my rangehood into the roof space. I know this has been mentioned before in other posts but I need to know whether my Rangehood (Technika D6900HA) has provision for a recirculating mode? It appears to be ducted into the roof. Does it need to have a charcoal or carbon filter to be in this mode? I couldn't find any filter on this rangehood so I'm assuming the builder is not installing it correctly. You will then have appropriate evidence to use if your builder has installed it incorrectly. I pointed out that if I was told during tender meeting I would have chosen a recirculatory rangehood to avoid paying for ducting so therefore if they're not going to include ducting to outside then I require a different rangehood (as per contract). The reason for the statement in the contract is to avoid piping being ducted into the roof! Awaiting response from them! This will be an interesting one! Building in the Maples, Laurimar.
