I noticed that they have not used the foam spacers between the bricks and the aircell. Is that going to have a major impact on the effectiveness of the insulation? (ie should I insist that it is redone, given that they would need to rip down a lot of walls?. Apparently the worst case is you'd lose .5 of an R rating if the air cell was pressed hard against one of the walls, which it isn't. He did ask who my builder was and was surprised when I told him, and is going to organise more training for them. I need to replace the worn mohair seal on my sliding window, but I can't get access to the end to slide the old one out & push the new one in.
