Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 08, 2010 10:44 am Hi All, Our prefered builder is recommending a concrete frame system (by Pegasus Prestige) for our new home rather than a traditional wooden frame. We have been told that concrete frames (a tilt system) is largely used in commercial construction and are only just now affordable on a residential level. The concrete walls are manufactured off-site and then erected on the block of land. We're a little hesitant as this is a new concept to us. Never need maintenance, everything is square.(or round as the case may be ) You just need to know that your design is not going to be compromised by solar gain/loss.
