I didn't think it would be possible after the experiences several of us had. But as you always said, I guess we ironed out most of the 'kinks' for you!! Lots of pics 689Dec 16, 2011 11:01 am Tinks & family, Congratulations, really looks great. You have a number of the same selections as us. We have also used the same feature tile in our bathroom but as a vertial strip in the shower and also going to put it in the sculley as a horizontal feature strip. I also think the wall tile in the bathroom is the same. We have seductive limba as backing to the kitchen island bench, our kitchen benchtop Essastone is very similar and I think you also have foaming mocha for the splasheback. Also a number of the colours are the same. You must have goos taste Tim Switch 830 in Meve Commenced 20/7/2011 Completed Early april 2012 Moved in 30/4/2012 Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!! Lots of pics 691Dec 16, 2011 8:01 pm Kiwi- yeah, its weird, after so long feeling like I shouldn't be there, or I'm in the way its finally ours! barb- thanks, we are SO happy with the ensuite, just have to decide what colour towels we should have. pattycake- thanks, won't be long before you are in as well! zircon- cheers! While the build itself has been pretty good, its been a LONG 18 months to now Peas-flooring starts Tuesday, so you won't have to wait long saemiseon- yeah, we were lucky the SS let the painters do their bit before handover, and it makes such a HUGE difference! I'm hoping to get the kids rooms painted this weekend boganswife- thanks, its so bizarre to finally have it all come together, DH LOVES the portico, it was his suggestion and it really makes it stand out in the street SannieB78- The bath is a marina island bath by caroma westy- I know! It has been brilliant, I would never have believed this time last year that we'd have such a good run, but I always said you were whipping them into shape for me! Five months and 10 days from site scrape! Amazeballs! tan- hope your handover was great today, its an amazing feeling! tim- thanks so much! So are you copying me? When did you do prestart? Its funny, I got the distinct idea Brian wasn't' too sure of some of the selections but seems he's then sent you in the same direction! And yes- must have good taste soakedblonde- cheers, we are VERY happy, if a little overwhelmed at how much we still have to do! Driveway and limestone finished off today, which looks great. Plumber came past and finished off a few things, rest of the door handles delivered (by very surly dude, seems VERY put out he needed to call me for access- but it was less than 10 mins he had to wait for me..) my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!! Lots of pics 692Dec 16, 2011 10:31 pm Tink your house is beautiful and your ensuite just divine!!!!!! Do you mind if I ask how much per sq metre your exposed aggregate was? Am undecided whether to do this, liquid limestone or large pavers for our alfresco area Bet you can't wait to move in! Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!! Lots of pics 693Dec 17, 2011 12:25 am Hi tinkster so pleased to hear you have keys, your house looks amazing, one thing I would be doing is getting your black tiles in ensuite sealed with enduro shield to help with white coming from water calcium etc we did our house and cleaning is so much easier and we have a neutral colour, but we did have the black tiles on our blade wall done and the only complaint was should have cleaned not long after product was put on with squeegee and cloth as sun has given tile a bit of a milky colour still can live with that. Cheers to you guys and enjoy your lovely new home. Kazzbah Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!! Lots of pics 694Dec 17, 2011 6:19 pm Chuffy- thanks so much. The exposed agg was around $110 a square metre, I highly recommend Lifestone Paving, they have been brilliant! Service is brilliant and the finished product looks amazing. They came back today to do the sealer and its even better than it was. They did both the liquid limestone and the exposed agg and were really great! Kazzbah- thanks for dropping in! The tiles are already booked in for sealing, but thanks! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!! Lots of pics 696Dec 18, 2011 1:51 pm Hey tinkster, house looks absolutely awesome. All that wait was worth it i bet Now all the fun begins in getting it ready to move in! I still have long way to go before it completely done, then again is it ever? haha Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!! Lots of pics 697Dec 18, 2011 9:07 pm Congratulations! It looks gorgeous, I'll bet you can't wait to move in and enjoy it everyday. Your en suite is every bit as stunning as it promised to be (still LOVING those tiles). What did you decide on the towel colour? Your kitchen and scullery are so clean and crisp looking, it's making me question whether to stick to our current two tone choice (a mix of white and oyster linea) back to all white Build thread: /viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49109 Blog: http://thelofthouse.wordpress.com/ Re: Building switchthree90-KEYS!!!
