Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I drove past around 9am and they weren't there, which was a shame, as it meant dh and I had to eat the brownies I'd made for them, but they obviously worked at some point cos its all done! It looks SO good!! Not many light roofs around, so it stands out gorgeously! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- Hat is ON!! 464Sep 26, 2011 4:36 pm very nice, how good will that portico look! Re: Building switchthree90- Hat is ON!! 465Sep 26, 2011 4:48 pm Looking good Tinkster Starting to look like a house. Your moving along really nicely now. You will be finished months ahead of us. We are having a tiled roof and so I would imagine that will take a lot longer to put on than a colourbond. We LOVE the portico pattycake, the house didn't orignally have one, but dh was insistent, so we spent the $5k or so on it and I've gotta admit, it looks brilliant Tim- the bulk of the tiles seem to go on just as fast as colourbond, but I'm not sure if there is more work once they are up there, but hopefully it won't be too long for you anyway. Do you have the same brickie back? Shame you couldn't get the 4 man crew that did my place, only took them 11 working days, start to finish. Thanks gogo, its VERY impressive amongst all the other dark roofs in the estate my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- Hat is ON!! 468Sep 26, 2011 10:53 pm Wow tinkster, i take a break from H1 for a week or two and so much progress! Building switchthree90- Hat is ON!! 469Sep 26, 2011 11:10 pm Thanks wrexter. It's going really well so far. We're just rendering the front but still can't wait to see it finished! my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Building switchthree90- Hat is ON!! 470Sep 26, 2011 11:27 pm Tinkster, We have the same brickie team. We actually asked for them back because they did a really good job even though it all had to be pulled down. Although they are probably a bit slower than most they are very meticulous. they have said that all brickwork would be done in 10 working days so that seems fairly good to me.
