Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 30, 2010 9:27 pm I am keen to get a local supplier for a tile but unfortunately don't have the details for the tile. All I know is that it is a 30x30 and is known as satin black matt. Pic of the tile is here here Does anyone know of this tile or similar, particularly in the Hunter/Newcastle region? Thanks 2010, June : Land bought (1700sqm, battleaxe block). That's it so far! We're in the design phase .... Re: Looking for a tile in the Newcastle/Hunter region 2Jul 30, 2010 9:30 pm Hey Pete_n_Pet, Not sure about a supplier in Newcastle, but I believe the tile is from San Marco Ceramics - www.sanmarcoceramics.com.au/ you could probably give them a call and see if they have any local retailers. Hi Ikon Yes, I know the tile is with San Marco in Melbourne. They have given me the name of a tile firm and suggested I go in and see their stock at the local place, as they know they also stock similar lines of tile (but not necessarily the same). I called the referral firm - they aren't really that close to us (about a 70-80 minute drive), so I wanted to see if anyone else might recognise the tile closer to us. Just hoping .... 2010, June : Land bought (1700sqm, battleaxe block). That's it so far! We're in the design phase .... Re: Looking for a tile in the Newcastle/Hunter region 4Jul 30, 2010 9:57 pm I don't know how much luck you're going to have then... there just isn't much of a range in Newcastle, unless you're wanting to stick with something more generic. Earp Brother's (IMO) have the broadest range of tiles on display, but they can be pricey. If you love the tiles then the 70-80min drive is worth it - I've travelled far and wide to source the 'right' thing. Re: Looking for a tile in the Newcastle/Hunter region 5Jul 30, 2010 10:14 pm Ikon, I was wrong about the distance to the local supplier. They are near Campbelltown in Sydney, so more than 80 minutes drive. Yes, we may decide to do a weekend trip to Sydney and fit in some tile shopping. But still, you'd think Newcastle/Central Coast would have something similar, if not the same, wouldn't you? Or am I simply too hopeful? 2010, June : Land bought (1700sqm, battleaxe block). Thanks 0 21118 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6895 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13449 |
