Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 31, 2007 10:23 am ........................To Small Builders
I am about to have a mini debate with someone who is like me in that they have NO clue about building etc so I would like to have a few facts to present my case The home in question is one of PD's Prestige range homes in the approx price range 280k up to 300k This person is saying that a Private Small Builder can build them practically the same thing for a significantly much lower price range to that of PD. This to me seems abit unreal..... As I said, I know nothing of building just what Ive learnt and what I read HERE. Is this person full of it or what?? The project builder gets volume pricing for the material and can reduce site supervision costs since everything is "standard". They even save more by having CRMs that ignore the customers, but that's another story.... but what a cost saving Demolition August 2009, Construction Started September 2009, Completed December 2010 Tradie may sit at home but will need to get house plastered as well or will you sit it out? 6 9970 Look at your bill from the electricity company.
