Hi all
In our HIA plain english contract it allows for 5 wet days but what exactly does this mean?
We have nearly been waiting 2 weeks for our slab because our block is too wet so does this or does this not fall into the 5 days?
Thanks

Thanks Re: Allowance for wet days...what does this mean? 2Jul 30, 2010 1:33 pm It means that after 5 days, every "wet" or "hot" day could add an extension to your contractual finish date. Eg. 10 actual "wet/hot" days claimed by your builder adds 5 additional days to your finish date. But you could be luckily and the builder gets your house done way before your finish date. Were they use this is if your house goes beyond the contractual finish date, the day they start "paying" you liquidated damages is from the revised date. The reason why I said "could add an extension" is because it is up to the discretion of the builder and they have 7 days to bring you to the attention of the extension.
