Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 30, 2010 10:59 am We have a progress claim for "Fix-Out". Is there an industry standard as to what should have been completed by this stage? Kitchen and bathroom cabinetry is yet to be done so wondering whether or not it should have been by this stage. Re: What is included as part of the "Fix Out" stage 2Jul 30, 2010 11:12 am Hmm not sure if "fix out" and "fixing" are the same thing . I think most builders call it the fixing stage so try doing a search on here (or google) for fixing stage and you'll get your answer. Also have a look at your contract; most of them (especially the standard HIA ones) have a definition section for the terms used. From my recollection yes bathroom and kitchen cabinetry should be in. Re: What is included as part of the "Fix Out" stage 3Jul 30, 2010 11:51 am I was wondering the same. I found this on another website Lock-up / Enclosed Stage For a building means the stage when: 1.the external wall cladding is fixed; and 2.the roof covering is fixed, but without: •soffit linings necessarily having been fixed; or •for a tile roof – pointing necessarily having been done; or •for a metal roof – scribing and final screwing off necessarily having been done; and 3.the structural flooring is laid; and 4.the external doors are fixed (even if only temporarily), but, if a lockable door separating the garage from the rest of the building has been fixed, without the garage doors necessarily having been fixed; and 5.the external windows are fixed (even if only temporarily) Pre-Paint Stage / Fixing Stage The stage when all internal lining, architraves, cornice, skirting, doors to rooms, baths, shower trays, wet area tiling, built-in shelves, built-in cabinets and built-in cupboards of a building are fitted and fixed in position. I'll have another look at the contract but when I last looked they did not really spell out what was to be done at each stage. I'm thinking I should hang onto the next progress payment though until the kitchen is installed. hey there! 😊 so, it’s kinda common for standard drawer depths to be around 500mm since most cabinets use this size to fit the usual runners… 3 18685 Hey guys, what’s everyone opinion on James Hardie linea direct fix to frame?
