Browse Forums Building A New House Re: How many ducted heating points for a smallish home? 21Aug 02, 2010 2:29 pm Drawing on my own experiences with the 3 in 1's, they are 'generally' put in the middle of the room (so the light is evenly distributed and the heat is on whlie you dry/dress out of the shower). This means the fan is also in the middle of the room. I have lived in homes that have the 3 in 1's and the bathrooms tend to get very steamy as the fan is not placed directly over the shower recess to catch it BEFORE it enters the main room. This happened in our temp accom last year (3 yo unit), and the walls were always damp after a shower and the mirror fogged up. This 'could' lead tp mould problems down the track. Both of my houses (old and new) have the fans directly above the shower recess and a heating vent in the bathroom (no 3 in 1's) and I have never had a problem with steam on mirrors, water running down walls after a shower, mould, or damp towels! I like to have the vents in there to help 'dry out' the recess and the towels after wards. Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!!
