Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 27, 2010 11:54 pm I have a question to anyone that has built with Dale Alcock and has used the Kensigton Render colours. We wanted to go with these colours but have just been told that we now cannot have the 200% Stucco due to it being over tinted? I cant see how they can go from doing this on previous homes to not wanting to do it anymore. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be great as we would still like to have these colours. Thanks in advance Re: Problems with render colours. 2Jul 28, 2010 1:39 am Hi jadeneddie - we are building with Dale Alcock but didn't encounter this problem. I don't see why they will use the 200% for their display then refuse to use it for your build. Doesn't make sense. When they say that the colour is over tinted what they actually do mean? Can you get the same colour maybe using 150%? It might be worth asking them to explain what is the reasoning behind. If it doesn't affect the render finish or its performance it should be your choice if you want to use the colour at 200% or not. The Kensington display render looks dry and perfectly fine to me, along with the other billion homes they allowed to use this colour. I think they have just decided to make things dificult, as if building isn't already challenging enough. Time to unleash the inner dragon I think!!!
