Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 27, 2010 9:44 pm Good Evening Guys, After months and months of planning, signing/paying council & geting all work permits including Sydney Waterboard Sewerage approved! for our dream home , Masterton's Santorini MK2 job released on the 20th July 2010 we get a shock call from Masterton telling us their site engineer has spotted that we may have a sewer Easement in our backyard and further stoppages and investigation have to take place and our already planned Slab for the 9/8/2010 will be delayed. How can this happen? We had all necessary peg-outs done. We and all involved new of the sewerage line running across our yard and a planned encasement is planned so surely they would of known? Surely if the Waterboard has approved the permit we can still build over it? This has really guttered us!! I haven't slept in days. I would really appreciate your help and advice. Regards Sam/Trish Re: Masterton Home Build Help 2Jul 28, 2010 10:36 am hi patsam i can feel the pain. i would think that there is some mis-communication (rather zero commun) betn the design office and construction office of Masterton. If you say the easement was clearly mentioned in ALL council approved plans and other contract documents then you are covered. it is a delay from Masterton's point of view as they have done the proper prior checks before commencement Good luck Masterton Crystal MK1 Split Level Blacktown CC Paid $2.5k end Sept; Frame 14 Apr; viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32025&hilit=ekman 4 16737 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17609 Can anyone recommend a good/affordable retaining wall and fence builder that I can get a quote from located in Sydney? 8 45823 |
