Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 23, 2010 11:45 am Hi Guys I am here to share my thoughts and experience with the builder. During construction i visit my site regularly whenever possible, i was shocked many times. At number of occasions i found the people working in there have very little experience in building the house, for examples painters, some of them never done any paint work , before . some of them was foreign students , who was working for some quick cash money, and some of them was foreign visitors etc. i watch them painting it was like they doing some car wash, one brush here and one there, where the hell bloody site supervisor was... even they was painting on dirty plaster etc. the plaster work is something , i am feeling like when i get some money i will hire someone to plaster it again. the rock on the ceiling, joints are so visible sometimes i donot want to look at the ceiling, i am trying to ignore it , but truth is it hurt specially when you spend so much money and time and you get a nasty piece of work by your builder. Windows Aluminium , rubbers are like twisted and chucked inside , like a litlle boy put or chuck his toys in basket, render work very rough not smooth specially under the windows again no time devoted or care taken by the supervisor. The water from the roof leaking, broken tiles on the roof, many still have broken corners. in the house ceiling not flat, the house was dirty during handover, Now the question is Who is Builder ***********, if you try to call supervisor they will never answer you or call you to update you with progress, the only time you know what stage is your house is when you get the invoice, To be continued with some images, taken Re: Quality of the house, including material and standard 2Jul 23, 2010 12:57 pm Maybe you should bring these issues up with your builder at PCI, or during other inspections that you may have during the build. Maybe hire an independant inspector for PCI so you have someone 'in the business' who knows what should be acceptable and what shouldn't to get the builder to fix things to a proper standard? Different to what others have said but thanks for that insight. 2 5205 Not recommended! The image presented is for a sublevel area.
