Regards,
Glad to hear that your front door looks better now that it has been restained Khpatory! We are still waiting to have ours restained. All our timber windows have been restained- just not our front door- it still looks the same orangey colour.
Any other news on your build??
+1 me too. feels like I just go to watch some random house being built! our painters are first 2 weeks march, we might be moving about the same time as you. whaoaoao!
That's exactly how it feels kiwi- like we are watching someone elses house being built!
Glad to hear that your build is speeding along At this rate (yours being fast, mine being slow!) we probably will be moving in around the same time!!! How exciting!
Well worth any delay. I'm so glad you were able to get it sorted out. Looking forward to the "new" pics now
I'm sooooo much happier with the way the tiles look now- all neat and lined up- as they should have been laid the first time!!! I have finally managed to get some pics too RL
Thats what I was thinking too HM! No doubt the builders get away with alot more than they should.....
Thanks Debra
Good news is they've given us a credit this week for rock removal as they didn't find any so helps a little to cover the additional interest we're paying. However it was our money to begin with.
On the late payment, here's our official response. "In relation to your query regarding Liquidated Damages, just to let you know that this will be calculated at the end of Construction and once you have had your New Home Presentation and have signed off on your Home. They will continue to calculate on a daily basis until then. Once you have signed off on the home they will then be calculated and a Credit Variation will be raised, you will then have the option of deducting this from your final payment, or alternatively you may wish to receive a cheque after settlement."
Other good news, paint is now done and fitoffs happening. Facade should look much better next week as they're 'supposed' to be finishing the front. Mix of Linseed and Barn Floor colour so hopefully we made the right choice as it seems a long time ago now.
Good news about the rock removal Notremaison! Better that it's back in your pocket rather than theirs! We have a provision of around $8000 for rock removal. I have my fingers and toes crossed that we get most of that back. What we could do with that money......
I still can't believe that they are running so long over your contract time. Compensation is good but I guess it doesn't really make up for the lost time and extra money wasted on loan interest though
Good to hear that you are finally getting closer to the end though. I love the colour linseed. I was thinking of having some linseed feature walls somewhere. I'm sure it'll all come together beautifully
