I am thinking maybe those of you who are building new homes might be able to help: Our windows are in, and gorgeous. But the winders (which function beautifully) are a weird light pinky-brownish kind of colour. The locks are a fairly discrete triangle affair in chrome look, placed about half way up the frame. And our louvres (which are on several internal windows to facilitate cross-breezes) have chrome housing. We haven't yet decided whether we want to stain the frames or paint them white. But if we go the latter route, presumably the fittings would clash? When do winders usually get put in? What is the default colour? Who should bear the cost of swapping them if they're not right for our colour scheme AND we weren't asked what colour we wanted? And most importantly, should the winder match the frame??? Ditto on louvres. Aggh. Am I being too much of a control freak here???? e. This is 100% true. You can not hang anything on steel frames. very frustrating 8 8036 1 14493 This certainly doesn't look good. I would be engaging with an independent inspector to have a look at this. As for the unscheduled site visits, most builders are quite… 1 28324 |
