We can have a race, our house is at about the same stage as yours by the looks. Yesterday the windows were in and the house was wrapped up. So nice to see! Re: laura2009 - my build 34Feb 08, 2011 9:58 am That brick colour looks gorgeous. Looks like a good job so far. Roof looks good too. Same colours to what I've chosen but opposite way around. I'm having Surfmist roof, Dune fascia. I'm surprised how light your Dune roof looks compared to the gutters. Now, I'm a little worried my Surfmist roof will be VERY bright. Looks like it's all coming along - very exciting! Re: laura2009 - my build 35Feb 08, 2011 8:38 pm Thanks Theresa, the Dune roof seems to change colour depending on what the light is like. It definitely looks slightly paler the the gutters at all times though. I popped in the afternoon and was happy to see the mortar dry to a lovely cream colour. There is just one man doing the work and while he's doing a very tidy job, at this rate it will be weeks before bricking is complete! Re: laura2009 - my build - Bricks 36Feb 19, 2011 4:39 pm Bricking seems to be taking a long time. They look good except for a shocking section with bricks that seem to be on backwards (photo below)? There are a couple of sections where the join between the bricks seems to be very wide compared to other areas. I guess they can't do anything about the bricks because they say they're a natural product so there can be some variation in the colour. I can't see the wide mortar gaps in your photos. Have you asked the SS about it? I remember Jessie had the same issue, and ended up having to take it up with the HIA to get it fixed because the builder wouldn't readily do it. Hope it's not that bad! Re: laura2009 - my build 38Mar 05, 2011 11:56 am Hi Laura, just wondering if your brickwork has been completed?
