The weather is great today. We're building at Andrews Farm SA. I've just gone back to your thread, so I answered my own question as to where you're building. Do you have council approval, or still waiting on that? Yeah, is an awesome day here today - shame a contractor at work gave me the flu last week... No council approval yet - is what we're waiting on at the moment (just went back and updated my thread a little) The house has been approved by the encumbrance manager, so at least that's something i suppose. (Will stop there, don't want to derail your thread.) Re: Carlswil's Statesman Tusmore - slab pics 103Aug 10, 2010 5:23 pm Lucene Love the slab I have slab envy, good luck to you and I wish you lots of fine weather Thanks Lucene. I'm loving the slab and I hope the weather stays nice for a while. Where are you at with yours now? You must be so glad your slab is down and you no longer have to worry about the weather!! Do you know if mud (day after rain) stops them from working on the slab?? (silly I know, I'm just hopeful that it wouldn't cuz maybe they need some water there anyway?). Your frames should be up in no time! Have you done your landscaping plan yet? Maybe something to think about to pass the time til frames.. 1st Tender - 20 March 2010 Slab - 14 August 2010 Frames - 31 August 2010 Roof - 11 September 2010 Bricks finished - 2 October 2010 Lock up - 15 October 2010 Keys - 10 December 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It poured with rain on Sunday and most of sunday night, and they still did the slab on Monday, so hopefully yours will be the same. Our builder reckons it will be 2 - 3 weeks before the frame is delivered. I'm not sure how my patience is going to cope with that. Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=41002 Re: Carlswil's Statesman Tusmore - slab pics 119Aug 13, 2010 12:31 pm Thanks Sanmark. I think 2 weeks is a bit long I've noticed some people have had their frames done within a week of their slab being poured. I'd be happy with that (actually I probably still wouldn't be happy ) I went out to our slab last night, and it doesn't look all that dry. It looks dry around the edges, but still looks fresh in the middle. But it should be pretty dry by the time the frame comes. I think you're right BZMZ, I think it depends on the builder. Other people on here that have built with my builder have also had to wait between slab and frame. On a positive note, I still haven't received an invoice for the slab. I'm happy for them to take their time with getting me that. contract signed: Nov 09 Released to Construction: 23 Jul 10 Slab poured: 9 Aug 10 Frame completed: 30 Aug 10 Windows & Gutters: 7 Sep 10 Bricks: 15 - 23 Sep 10 Roof: 24 Sep 10 Gyprock: 20 Oct 10 Lockup: 25 Oct 10 Kitchen: 27 Oct 10 Tiling: 6 - 9 Nov 10 Painting: 17 Nov 10 Carpet: 30 Nov 10 PCI: 15 Dec 10 Handover: 17 Dec 10 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35943 Re: Carlswil's Statesman Tusmore - slab pics 120Aug 13, 2010 12:37 pm LOL I bet!
