Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 12, 2010 10:37 pm Hey guys, We moved into our new house over the weekend, woohoo. So after a tiring day of moving, we couldn't wait to have a warm relaxing shower. Jumped in there and it was such a disappointment. The water pressure was soooo low...barely enough water to wash the shampoo from my hair, and the water took forever to turn warm. Even then it was hot and cold. See, other taps have OK water pressure, the problem seems to be with just the showers. We also tried to remove the shower head in case that was restricting the water, but the water flow seemed to be low from the plumbing. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did u do? Re: Shower water pressure really low :( 2Jul 12, 2010 10:44 pm I think it is to do with reducing water usage. I'm pretty sure all new shower heads are on 'low flow' which is a bugger. I love my stinging showers. I have heard it is possible to remove the part that stops the normal flow, but I'm not sure how or what. Thnx mimi79 u were right, it was the water saving head but to make it worse the saver part was blocked and wasn't letting much water through. My husband has since removed it and I had a wonderful shower this morning phew so relieved. do not pay until you are satisfied with workmanship windows require flashing over the head archithrave and up under weatherboards 3 28287 If you can calculate the reasonable charged head from let's say 100mm below the gutter to the top of where the vertical riser's horizontal discharge pipe will be, that… 11 17538 |
