Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 12, 2010 5:05 pm I am fairly sure we are meant to have 2 garden taps but they have only put in one. How many outside taps did everyone else get standard with Simonds? Not sure if the 2 in contract includes the one the water company puts in? Re: Simonds: How many garden taps are we meant to have? 2Jul 12, 2010 5:27 pm I got 2; one at the front (in the yard near the footpath) and one on the back wall of my house (that happens to be near the laundry on my house). The one at the back doesn't look anything like a tap to start off with; it's just a bit of metal pipe sticking out of the wall I believe they put the actual tap part of it on later. I certainly didn't pay for any upgrades (and my home is pretty small and simple) so I reckon 2 is standard. Hope that helps! Re: Simonds: How many garden taps are we meant to have? 3Jul 12, 2010 5:55 pm Well, Im not with Simonds, but we also had 2 as standard - both were on plan to be on walls of house - we left front one there but paid an upgrade fee to move back one to half way along side fence of back yard as this seemd better position to run hose etc from and to easily access garden. Unless you have a very large or irregular shape yard, one tap at back and one at front should be fine. Re: Simonds: How many garden taps are we meant to have? 4Jul 16, 2010 8:12 pm My cso told me that there will be two external once. One at the front and one on the side, close to the hot water thing. We also added an aditional one at the back during colour apointment. Re: Simonds: How many garden taps are we meant to have? 5Jul 17, 2010 10:28 am One at the front will be in the front yard, not on the house. Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included. My hesitation… 0 24692 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 105567 They already have two well known ones (HIA & MBA) that many new home buyers mistakenly think are regulatory bodies that Joe Public can complain to. 6 18022 |
