Browse Forums Building A New House Re: new land release south east suburbs 2Jul 12, 2010 5:36 pm I actually went past a new release in Pakenham on the weekend; it's on the hill to the left (kinda opposite Lakeside) as you come into town from Berwick. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. I think it may have actually been released on Saturday because there were about 100 cars parked around the office; but surely there would still be some blocks left now. Not sure if that's too far out for you? Best of luck with the search Re: new land release south east suburbs 3Jul 12, 2010 6:36 pm grom40 I actually went past a new release in Pakenham on the weekend; it's on the hill to the left (kinda opposite Lakeside) as you come into town from Berwick. Re: new land release south east suburbs 4Jul 12, 2010 8:59 pm Go hunting estate names and call their land sales offices asking when then next release will be. That's what I've done; mostly they say 'about x time, call back closer to then'. Status: sold our first house, moved in with parents, bought our second in Pakenham, still planning to build in a few years time. Re: new land release south east suburbs 5Jul 12, 2010 9:01 pm Hi Erin, Last parcel of land in Berwick that I am aware of is Bernly Gardens (between The Chase and Eden Rise). All the display centres and land sales offices we spoke to indicated that the developer knows he is holding onto the last available land in the Berwick postcode, apparently he's withholding any information about lot sizes and release dates to increase interest, which will no doubt increase prices and his final profit! We were on a list of 200 expressions of interest, pity there are less than 100 lots available. Other options would include narre warren south and cranbourne north (eve, sierra, kimberley downs), but even these developments are quickly running out of lots. Hence why we bought at arena in officer last month. Even though we are further out, we were able to get a reasonable lot size (700m) for a sensible price. Good luck with the search! First Home Builders Clarendon Roeberry 29 Arena @ Officer Colours Selected 12/08/10 Tender Signed 26/08/10 Contract Signed 12/10/10 Building Permit Issued 22/12/10 Site Start Due 14/01/11 (fingers crossed!) Keen to hear from people in the area who have got KDRB done on whom they got the build from? Looking for recommendations. Thanks 0 21092 10 15701 Thanks for your reply! We're definitely not after a small house Might still have a chat to them. Who did you end up building with if you don't mind me asking? 2 2616 |
