Adenbrook / Porter Davis??

Are these companies one in the same?

Look at the windsor 47 from PD and the Grange 47 from Adenbrook and tell me what you think...

If they are not the same company Porter Davis will be making a lot more money via the Court Room. They look identical apart from the 2nd ensuite.
Very Interesting, are either of these new deigns for one o the companies? Are there any other similar/same designs?

it's virtually identical other than the names of rooms.

wonder if PD put that through the courts when they did the 'alfresco' thing

I have found no evidence of one owning the other in a few brief web searches, and a search of their ABNs shows two completely different numbers. This suggests they are separate entities legally speaking, although the Adenbrook site also claims that they are a franchise, so who knows?

Still, after the decision in the courts that has clarified what a "substantive difference" really is, this could be interesting. Nice find Matt.

We asked them about that when we were going through the tender process. The answer was rather simple:

Porter Davis, Adenbrook and Eden Brae (i think) all license certain designs off each other.

And since they dont build in the same areas it makes sense to share good designs.

The Peninsula and Hamilton designs are also shared .

And so ends the mystery of the same designs!

Eden Brae = NSW equiv of PD (even the marketing material is the same layout)
